Fanis Antonopoulos was born in Athens in 1979. He is a composer, pianist and music educator. He studied piano under Niki Poulimenou at the Athens International Conservatory, where he obtained his piano diploma. He studied composition at the New Melody Conservatory, under the composer and conductor Fivos Papadopoulos. His compositions consist of symphonic works for full orchestra, works for string orchestra, chamber music for trios, duets, string and wind quintets, and sonatas for piano and solo instruments as well as works for mixed choir. His works have been performed in halls in Athens, such as the Athens Concert Hall, the Concert Hall of the Town Hall of Kaisariani and others. His compositions have also been used for the soundtrack of fairy tales, short films, animation and in contemporary dance choreographies.
